Looking for tips on How to find a good FC

I disagree with the people saying avoid FCs inviting anyone and everyone because all they care about is numbers. Well okay, that depends on the FC. Our FC leader for the Shiva FC on Leviathan server invites anyone and everyone because we are an FC that targets all areas, whether you are casual or hardcore. Doesn't matter what class/job you are, or what level you are, or whether you are into PVE, PVP, or RP.\

Are you meaning you just allow people in without requirements, which is fine, or does your FC just randomly invite anyone running past without an FC tag and not bothering to even say a word or ask if they want to join? Cause the first one is fine, its great to allow anyone in, but the second one is more frowned upon and I think its what most people are saying not to do.

I couldn't agree more. Requirements are not necessary; however, the second thing is more an issue common courtesy than anything else, imo.

Yes, it depends on the FC. If the FC leader randomly hurl invites at FC-less players and then doesn't bother much about them after inviting, then this is enough reason to tell people to avoid such FC. If people joined because they said they want to before joining (not just by blindly accepting the invite), it's fine. Some people prefer to play without FC or at least doesn't like to be spoiled by the endgamers talking about raids in a mixed FC.

3: Uhh..beyond that try to make friends with them or join their LS first if they have one?

My fc/ls sounds a lot like what you want, BUT we focus on catching people up (particularly new people) rather than actual progression, so at the moment we spend a lot of time farming 1st coil and helping people with story missions

What you're looking for is a small FC. Large FCs tend to have more nameless faces then anything. Mid sized FCs are kind of the same, but not as bad. However, the issue with mid and large size FCs(and people can argue and call me wrong all they want, but it just shows they're in denial or not paying attention) there will always be members that are alienated. There will always be at least 1 or 2 groups(more depending on FC size) in the FC that are tight knit and gravitate toward one another. Its understandable that they do this, not calling it a fault, but it does alienate others, and sometimes it leads to conflicts with people outside of one of those cliques.

Your best bet is to find a small FC as they'll be more situated with what you're looking for.

Ohh look you're in Leviathan....you will get a 1000 ninja invites from Diamond Dust, Ultima and Shiva....just ignore them.....any FC that can't take 2 seconds to send you a /tell saying "hello, are you looking for a FC?" or "would you like to join our FC?"..is to be ignored.

Wish I could blacklist the invites...

Hey Dijana! I made the jump to hyperion. If you are still around, I'd be down with joining your LS and if there is room for me, your FC. My current FC doesn't have a spot for me to progress with them. All I do is PUG and craft. I'd like to be more focused in my playtime. I am online now if you see this.

I'd say go to lodestone and lookup the FCs in yous server. If if they have a website for their FC great! Also, check in with you server's forum here to see recruiters, how active they are, etc
