    you lose the alexandrite permenantly if you remove an infusion, I've removed 4 infusions due to last minute changes, but i've already finished my novus anyway, swimming in excess alexs now from dailies and hunts.

    Tried it myself on my Thyrus scroll.

    - Yes, you remove a single stat infusion you made without any problems.
    - No, you don't get your Alexandrite back (and neither the Materia you used to infuse that stat to begin with).

    Sucks, but it's better than trashing the whole thing and starting over...
