When there's no DoTs to refresh and Aetherflow is down there's really not much to do then spam ruin

There is a difference between casting 2-3 Ruin in a row and spamming it.

You should note that there isn't really a rotation for the SMN class. It's just a list of priorities. You need to prioritize what you need to upkeep to maximize your DPS. Rotation based classes are classes or jobs like DRG. DRG has such a tightly knit rotation, that if you screw it up, your DPS will plummet. Same with the SMN class-- mess up your priorities and your DPS will be worthless. As for advice on figuring out your priorities... I'll give you a hint: It involves doing something with your DoTs. Hahahaha.
