Might need to give this a try once my update is done. I know it's not unusual sometimes for this to happen on the SECOND Tidal Wave since you can push his HP too low too fast just like Ifrit EX and get an auto-enrage, but having it happen on the first Tidal Wave is much worse.
The timing has changed (bug, or not?). I had it in hard mode earlier and it wiped us twice with the normal timing.
It worked if we hit the button right as soon as it became available to hit.
Flipping right away in EX would mean you're basically rolling the dice for a knockoff on the second whorl so I imagine it's a bug.

Doubt it was intentional. Timing change has to be a bug. There has to be a wide window since everyone can potentially be on the wrong half of the platform when the button activates. I try to stand right beside the button but that doesn't always happen.
Anyone know if this got fixed from the maintenance?
It should be fixed according to the patch/hotfix notes:
The following issues have been addressed:
- An issue in the Whorleater (Hard) and the Whorleater (Extreme) where the Tidal Wave cannot be blocked if two or more players simultaneously use the Elemental Converter.
- An issue with Grand Company supply missions where supply and provisioning missions will not reset even though the next mission allowance has passed.
Credit goes to Niqo'te for her fabulous art in the "Nique's happy fun time!"-thread and Nix/Capa for the Caitlyn drawing to the right. \(^_^ )/
Give her your support by liking their art!
