How are you handling your Novus upgrade?

It is not optimised because I could not afford more Det and Crit and I wanted the upgrade now while we train for T9 so that will be my book until T9 book drops

As SCH, 42 crit (because broke Crit IVs), det 24 (because cheap), acc 1 (made a mistake), Pie 8 (why not). Then 4 days later, High Allagan book dropped.

I'm in the same boat 40 crit, 1 pie, 11 ss and 23 determination. No T9 book for me though

I decided against that, as the price-per-point isn't worth it.

Instead I went
Piety +33
Determination +22
Spell Speed +20

Since no other job really needs piety materia, it's dirt cheap to max. Not maxing DET I saved something like 3-4 million gil. It's not like you're going to notice the difference between 30 Det and 20 Det.

I'm almost done my SCH novus. I wanted my main stat but without spending millions of gil. I don't have the time to farm that type of money anymore lol.

Why not Piety then? Surely it's better than SS, which it's completely useless alone.
