    I've been thinking about stat efficiency, and I'm not sure how to weight the stats so to speak.
    Crit/Det was what first jumped to mind as SCH.

    I considered like, the amount of stat you get per materia.
    CritIV = 9 crit, ssIV = 9 ss, DetIV = 6 det, PieIV = 6 pie

    SE weights Det at ~0.7 per point of crit/accu/ss on gear, in regards to how they distribute substats, slightly higher than the materia value.
    Daystar belt vs High Allagan belt is perhaps the purest example of this, the only differences being 13 crit on Daystar vs 9 det on HA.

    As far as Novus goes: SS I'm not sure about because it increases in efficiency the more you have of it, and if we're slotting in a point by point situation, it'll take 9 novus points to equal 6 pie, if that makes sense. Likewise crit. In this case, it's moot for det, since we hit a cap at 31 or whatever. But what if (open mind, just consider it, lol) we consider maxing pie over crit first. Theoretically ending up with 31 det, 33 pie, 11 crit. Point-by-point, more efficient a weapon than 44 crit, 31 det, by what we're allowed according to a SE stat distribution metric.

    I happen to have a perpetual thirst for crit, so it doesn't appeal to me as much, but I can't help but think about this stuff.

    I'm not aware of any SCH-specific stat weights because we're multirole, and each stat contributes differently, unlike dps' single purpose.
    While, yes, SCH in an ideal situation won't have mana issues, that doesn't mean we can't spec pie into the weapon, and remove it in other slots.
    eg,. HA pants over Daystar pants, HA neck over Daystar neck (if you weren't already planning).

    But I guess the main problem with this is that it's going to be at the expense of crit regardless, and so it's probably best to just avoid Pie in the weap, rearranging accessories if you're low. Easier to fix your accs later than it would be to redo the entire weapon. Even a det/ss dps build wouldn't require that extra pie since det/ss innately both come on gear with higher pie levels than crit gear does.

    tl;dr Crit/Det for me
