How are you handling your Novus upgrade?

But, how about spell speed. I mean, if we get enought healing speed, we could cast cure for 1.8 sec or less. That's pretty big I think. What do y'all say..

Well, SPSP is not bad for WHMs. However, DET+PIE outshine it for this reason: scripted fights.

Sure, SPSP has gains that are not RNG-reliant (Crit), but because healers should not be healing on cooldown anyway, there is no real point in maximizing SPSP. You know when to cast that heal. You know when this and that happen. If something goes wrong beyond that - that SPSP wouldn't have (likely) helped you anyway.

I do think SPSP should be made a more interesting stat somehow and it could be what WHMs have synergy with (kind of like SCHs have good crit-synergy), but as it stands, in my opinion DET+PIE = king. It's not like it makes or breaks you though (and the High Allagan is still BiS regardless of it having SPSP because of that weapon damage).
