I'm stuck with the exact same dilemma. I'm leaning more towards Crit/Det at this time as I'm pretty sure Det will actually boost fairy heals, but more PIE is always nice too.
High Allagan Book is Crit/PIE, so maybe that would be a good choice for Novus just so you won't really notice much of a change in secondary stats when you upgrade
