GW2 Vistas?

While I understand how hard it must be to think about innovations in MMOs and not copying something from another game..

I am pretty sure so far lots of people gave some suggestions to improve the game.

While not all of them might be decent, I sincerely hope you take two minutes to browse through them.

With the patch 2.28 now in place.. "Using the Sightseeing Log, players can explore the realm and compile a comprehensive record of the breathtaking landscapes and stunning vistas of Eorzea"

Yup, same as GW2 Vistas, where you need to do the exact thing to get the exact result.

Now, don't take me wrong here, this game's best feature for me is the graphical part of it.

So it will be nice to view around.

--> But can you come with your own ideas?

Rehashing the old stuff (Fates, Fates and Fates - which seems to be taken as well from Dynamic events in GW2?), or to take the same stuff from another game to call it your own, ain't much into the innovation we are trying to expect from such a nice game that is Final Fantasy XIV: ARR.

I know E3 is coming, we might have new content (dungeons, classes/job so new skills, new maps)

I will conclude my judgement once the big expansion will be coming around.

Gold saucer will be a good thing to look forward so we will overlook the rest that is 'repetitive and the same'..

Until then, I'll go back to get some 6000 myth left for my animus..

That's like saying someone using "Sword" and gasping that Lord of the Rings had a weapon called a "Sword" too and thus unoriginal...

On topic, I don't really care that they rehashed other games' content as long as it's well done and/or improved and built upon.

IMO GW2 did everything right.... Before endgame. When I hit 80,on my first character, I thought to myself "Now What?" After leveling 2 more characters to 80 and getting sick of fractals/WvWvW, I left for something else.

To see SE reuse the actually good content from GW2 is interesting to say the least (except FATEs. I have no reason to do them)

Uh.... this kind of achievement is found in quite a lot of games. And that is because it is actually a fun concept to complete.

Hey, I would like them to copy more content from other MMOs, and since you mentioned GW2, I would love to have some jumping puzzles. Did you see how people in Mor Dhona love to climb their way up to these ropes? Some players like that. And I don't mind if they copy content as long as its fun. They'll add up some original content, that's for sure, but borrowing stuff from other MMOs is very common nowdays.

Well gw2 vistas were marked on the map an had a gigantic beacon of light to guide players to them. I'm hoping the ones in ff14 don't...

I think it's more scavange-hunt-y than big glowing sign that says OVER HERE like a waymarker. Sometimes borrowing from other games isn't so bad as long as it's not 100% copy.

These can be pretty hard to find, you wont know if you are in the right spot until a message appears in the chat box.
These spots are very tiny and moving about 2 steps can take you out of it.
