[Feedback] Relic Novus, Gilsellers, Materia & you.

In case some people haven´t made it that far in the quest:
- You need 1500 myth for a scroll and infuse it with materia and alexanderite (catalyst)
- You can obtain those alexanderite through fates (atma 2.28), via maps bought with myth or repeatable quest (roulette)

To the main problem: Materia

Thanks to the new update the materia prices have risen to ridiculous amounts.

II: 20k
III: 25k
IV: 500k

So people that had a shitton of money now have more because they bought all of it and sell it for thoose idiotic prices.

So who is benefitting the most from this?
Gilsellers that have the gil to purchase the materia & resell it for higher prices and prolly get more customers out of it?
I think so.

So I thank you SE for not using some sort of quest materia but rather something that involves gil.

Edit: In case some of you didnt know: gilsellers have bots for spiritbinding, perfect update for them.

If it's just a few pieces, heck, i'll spiritbond for it myself or go through my retainers.

If it's 100 each, then yeah... That's a very large middle finger being flipped at the playerbase :/

I have yet to meld materia myself as the Servers went down before I could finish my roulette for the alexandrite.

The materia stats are not factored in based on initial reports.

1 materia (regardless of grade) appears to progress your overall stats by 1 point.

So, yeah. In the end that would mean 75 individual materia.

So far both Materia I and Materia II give one point towards Novus once they're melded. So if Materia III and Materia IV behave the same then we're looking at around 17 or more of each level of materia. Roughly that's gonna run you 6million gil at least. So yeah. I was cool with the Atma FATE randomness, and tolerated farming 31k myth tomes, but 6million gil? I've never had over 400k. How on earth am I supposed to do that? It's not even worth it. Literally the most disappointed I've been in one of their decisions since launch.

I think the new Novus is pure bullcrap, this part of the patch has to be the worst thing yet, 800 tomes for a fracking map? fate grind for maps with a worse drop rate than the 12/12 atma drops. I think the nuclear power plant accident in Japan got to the devs, they where to close and soaked up some radiation.To be honest such a awesome game for SE to ruin it with a grind fest. How about coming out with something that does not require countless FATE grinding or having to do 1000 runs of a dungeon?

That being said Atleast SE listened to some degree, almost every other thing in this was pretty great, I have not received one tell from a RTM that
in it self is great.

Well on my server the gilsellers just went apeshit.
They are pretty active again as imagined.

Sad thing is that SE doesn´t really listen to the english community.
People were furious about the Atma and Animus. You can still see loads of threads about it.
But they never changed a thing.

I don´t even know why they add such artificially content. Noone likes to grind the same shit over and over.
I still hate bray for sucking out hours of my life.

I would rather just sit somewhere and level up my fishing.

- The daily is totally ok.
- The alexandrite drop rate is bullshit.
- 800 myth for a map is bullshit aswell. Make that 200.

If we really need 75 alexandrite ( 60k myth - daily ) then god help us.

Imagine if SE abolished all Market Boards. Do you think ANYONE would have Novus weapons? I bet the players that DID have them would be given proper respect for dedication. No more buying initial relics, having to craft and apply materia by yourself to even BEGIN the relic quest.

Sounds like pure heaven to me. Working toward your relic shouldn't mean "I don't have enough money to buy it yet". So much for my logic, though. My game would be a definite fail, if I had a say in how things went XD
