that is a workaround for a flawed system. a workaround we should not have to use. not to mention if you turn off auto away it should not make you auto come back when you /awayi DID read the thread. and i re-read every post before the developer's post. they could use a macro and then minimize the game into the background before the macro finishes. as for the people with too sensitive of a mouse... how is that even remotely SE's problem? they could use a macro too. or maybe lower the mouse sensitivity out of the game while increasing the in-game sensitivity. the macro advise has worked for several people i play the game with that play on PC. hit the macro and put the game in to the background.
again... nothing wrong with the system. lol.
cheers.
if the system were actually flawed then yes it would be a workaround. if you are in game and hit /afk but use the ALT or Windows key-modifier to minimize the game. then obviously the game is still in focus will accept user input and register that as you not being AFK. using a macro is not a workaround. using a macro gives you the chance to bend the rules. but on that last half i can most certainly agree... provided you didn't touch any controls. lol.
again... i know players in-game that have experienced these so called issues. a macro works great for them. and even the players with an overly-sensitive mouse found the macro suggestion to work very well.
anyhow it doesn't matter. whatever this fabricated issue is, SE is doing something about it. enjoy and cheers.
Using up a macro slot on the hotbar of every class is such a rock stupid thing to do when you can just /away and be done with it. Anyone who played XI did this and never had an issue. Why it was changed, three years into the game, here, when there are so many other actually broken things to work on is beyond me.

BLaCKnBLu3B3RRY I agree with you, good job keeping this thing on track (Unlike myself and...others). I gave you "like" wish I could give you two thumbs up though![]()
I am a winner, even though I sometimes fail.
well the macro is to add a /wait timer. so the /away command is only executed after the game is no longer capturing user input. and you only need to put the macro on a single hotbar. unless you are sharing every hotbar between classes/jobs.Using up a macro slot on the hotbar of every class is such a rock stupid thing to do when you can just /away and be done with it. My point was that an /away command that requires the use of a hotbar slot is a poorly designed system. My hotbars are being used for skills, not for system commands. Maybe you are on Ps4 and it's different for you. I like to keep my hotbars for class abilities, spells, and other game-playing related things.
