the ONLY thing you should consider is a simple option. one that allows players to configure if touching any controls changes your status back from AFK to normal. i can understand when people want to go AFK waiting for something in-game. like a specific weather condition or a time of day. i can understand if they don't want their status updated, because maybe they don't want people thinking they are back just yet. and don't want people to think they are just being ignored or something. but that is what either a macro or /busy status is for.

either way... there is nothing wrong with the system.
apparently you didnt pay attention to the issue here, the system is putting people back before they actually are. some people can't even use it because their mouse is too sensitive or whatever. many of the people complaining in this thread if you actually read through it are not touching their controls when they leave but finding themselves back anyway. the point is there is something wrong with it. it was implimented without working out all the flaws to it. not to mention before they implimented the auto away you could type /away and not have it put you back till you typed it again. some of us preferred it that way.
