Petition for Crystal Exarch as a Trust (Be warned: Potential Story Spoilers)

After finishing the story, I was a bit disappointed to find that I could no longer use the Crystal Exarch (or Lyne, for that matter) as a trust.

I get there might be some lore reasons, but they've broken lore for gameplay before, and he was there in the first dungeon of ShB during the plot. As three different classes no less! So it just feels strange we don't get to use him or Lyne anymore when we finish the story.

Mostly I just think it's weird they went through the effort to make him function as three different classes for him to just be temporary above everything. Please add him as a trust in a future patch, he's my favorite character. <3

Yes. And Crystal boi is the most interesting one, because he changes jobs based on what you do. (Though if you aren't a tank you may not notice this.)

I was considering making a post for this very thing, and also to ask for Lyna back... Even if they just included them as throwaways you can use in the first dungeon and not actually level up (yet), it'd be better than losing them forever. ;; ;;

I bet I know whats gonna happen if they do....you'll be required to level the exarch on each role individually. that means 15 runs to gain a level, before he reaches 72. Then 60 runs to get him to il mheg. I see it already...

I would gladly do this. He deserves it.

It isn't a lore reason at all. They just wanted to give us another thing to grind post-msq and we ultimately have six "Scions" (counting the unofficial Ryne) with us, so they made the trust window account for six npcs and called it a day.

Whenever we're redoing content in the DF we're essentially going back in time / revisiting it with the Echo, so it's not like there should be any valid "lore" reason for why we can't take the Exarch to the Switch anymore.

That's true, and to add onto it, having all the scions in the early dungeons breaks that lore as well.

There's enough of content drought between big patches, gives us something more to do for those that want him.
