I was able to get #39 at 5:56am in the rain with /lookout. Rain doesn't make sense, so I wonder if it's weather irrelevant.

It's hard to get the weather in the english client, thats true. But in the german client the text says "bad weather break" - so yes, it needs rain and not any other weather ^^

Still having trouble figuring out to get on top of the large furnace for 35. Any tips?

Use the tiny Chimney on the first Furnace to get high enough to jump on the Plattform on the big furnace ^^

Need chocobo to do the jump. You have to start with chocobo looking in the right direction if you want to be full speed for a successful jump.

Been trying to do this ever since I realised that 'butchered arbor' didn't refer to the dead treant in South Shroud. Made it up onto all of the other posts before giving up and then seeing your post. Which direction do you jump from? I just can't get up there!

I jump from the other one on the right (the highest that you can easily reach). It's not easy and the 2 first times I reach it I was not able to stop on the log ^^'
