Doesn't both text contradict each other? English text implies he didn't enjoy the trip down (meaning it wasn't hard to get down); yet, German text (assuming translation is close to accurate) implies that he got down so easy (and possibly neither enjoyed or didn't enjoyed the trip down)

Unless I misinterpret the last line "I can't say I enjoyed the trip down"
Perhaps the key word is down... which might mean sit down???
