Miqo'te with shield: Casting Animation glitched

    Platform: Windows 7 64-bit
    ISP: Brighthouse Networks
    Type of Internet Connection: Cable
    Internet Connection Speed: 9.72Mbs
    Date & Time: 7/24/2011 @4:30pm
    Frequency: Always
    Character Name: Chione Tilaeris
    Race: Miqo'te
    World: Besaid
    Class/Skill Rank: Gladiator r42
    Physical Level: 50
Area and Coordinates: LL Market Wards
    Party or Solo: Solo
    NPC Name: None
    Monster Name: None
    In-Game Time: 3/16 9:00
    Steps:
-I start casting a spell, any spell
-When the spell animation begins, my shield pops off my arm and turns inside out.

So far I have only noticed this glitch with what I call the 'quick spell' animation. (Miqote swings her weapon down to her side). It was in the game before patch 1.18, but now that all casting has adopted the above animation, this glitch is much more noticeable and extremely distracting. Also, It only seems to apply to miqo'te. My Elvaan mate at the time tried casting with a shield as well, and his shield stayed happily attached to his arm. I have tried it with various shields, and all behave the same way.
