Novus weapon upgrade system findings

I have all but 2 zenith relics and after getting my Gea Bolg Animus I will never ever go through the pain of grinding FATEs and boring books to get a second.

Thing is: some people would like to... I think part of the problem is how it's currently setup, it majorly dissuades people from ever doing a second... or even their first for a good lot. Many are so turned off by the process (too gruelingly extreme)... I think that should be a red-alert in the design sector.
