Novus weapon upgrade system findings

Is it just me or is there even more grinding and rng in this single step than the last two combined? O.o I don't think they considered feedback at all, what were they doing these last two delays?

I mean let's think about it for a sec.

Complaints were;

1. No one likes fates
2. no one wants to farm myth anymore(let's be serious those of us with aniums are sick of bray)
3. RNG is the devil

What they added for Novus is;

1. Farm fates for Alexandrite
2. Farm myth (800 each) to farm maps to farm Alexandrite(a daily also provides a map)
3. Intense SB grind to get materia which when converted is RNG whether you get what you want
4. meld materia with alexandrite onto sphere scroll(requiring 900 myth btw) FOR A CHANCE to up your stats
5. (yes the stats are at first 100% but it drops the more you meld turning into pure rng)

It honestly looks like they took fan feedback in order to make something everyone would dislike specifically.
