Don't worry. The guys selling 20x Materia III and IV at once for different kind of Materia are surely only really, really busy regular players.

Eh, if I hadn't just spent most of what I had on crafting/gathering gear, I probably would have looked at buying up materia as soon as we had info about it being used. Could use an influx of gil at the moment.
