I'm wondering if you have to meld a rank IV. Not sure the level of the materia matters, just the type. You put determination and critical hit rate and it automatically maxes it for i110.

I doubt it. It seems more likely that we will have to meld enough materia into the scrolls to get the stats we want.

So let's say you want 44 Crit and 31 ACC on your Artemis Bow (going by the stat values in the example image), you'd need something like 4 Savage Aim IV and 2 Savage Aim II materia, and 3 Heaven's Eye IV and 1 Heaven's Eye II materia melded to the Sphere Scroll with Alexandrite (no doubt) in order to get what you wanted.
