Thyrus Novus and Omnilex Novus (different name in japanese).Yeah, I used the translate to. But I'm still not sure what they are talking about, Tairasu-Knowth" and "Madaremujien-Knowth"? I don't want to start up the debate again, But they are talking about +9 points of something, Which is what was talked in last 5 pages or so..... I didn't know if it had anything to do with that or not.
Also trying to find out more about the Curtana Novus this guy finished today.
These weapons have a base +9 accuracy, therefore the accuracy cap on the Sphere Scroll for these weapons are lower than for the other weapons to reach the same end cap.
Ok thanks, still trying to find out about the finished Curtana Novus. Found this too http://jp.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest.../blog/1283314/

Found him http://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodest...nt/detail/926/ His name is Artista Yun. He changed to WAR so you can't see what the stats are on it.

タイラス・ノウス => Thyrus Novus
マダムレジエン・ノウス => this is actually SCH's Omnilex Novus. The Japanese name is not pronounced as Omnilex.
It is known that the 2 primary stats you choose to fuse in the sphere scroll will replace the original 2 on the Animus. However for healer weapons, accuracy happened to be a fixed 5th stat. So people are wondering what will happen if they meld accuracy onto the sphere scroll.
The rep checked with the devs, and was told that the accuracy will stack up. For example if you melded +1 accuracy onto the sphere scroll for Thyrus, which has 9 accuracy by default, Thyrus Novus will have +10 accuracy.
It was a question over the healer's weapons because as you know, from i100 onwards all healer gears gained an extra stat which is Accuracy. In the patch notes it says that at the end of the Novus upgrade, STR/DEX/VIT/MND/INT will be increased accordingly to befit an i110 weapon stat, however, the Accuracy stat will not change.
However you might want to double check with someone more proficient in Japanese as I'm not an advanced user so I might be wrong somewhere.

The quest itself says that "base accuracy will not be replaced" for Thyrus/Omnilex Animus... Not sure how people got confused by this as it's pretty clear from the text and scroll listed cap that any acc added to the scroll will be added to the base.It was a question over the healer's weapons because as you know, from i100 onwards all healer gears gained an extra stat which is Accuracy. The definition of no-life... jeez. Also http://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/commen...curtana_novus/ Someone has already finished the Curtana.
Well I think people just wanted some black and white confirmation?
But well.. melding accuracy for healers is interesting lol. But I feel it'd be wasted.
BTW I suppose you understand Japanese too? If so maybe check if my translation is correct.
I understand enough using translation tools and sites like wwwjdic.
As far as I can tell it's basically correct.
Um, the screenshot released with 2.28 CLEARLY showed that a sphere scroll had 44/31 infused on it and that the weapon would receive those exact stats.Something people are being blinded by is their own ideas about what this quest will ultimately come down to as far as how different or similar the Novus is compared to the other weapons in the game currently. None of us are actually saying "Crit/Acc/SkS/SpS/Parry will cap at 44 and after that Det/Pie can only cap at 22. We are only saying that you should not get your hopes up that you WILL get 44 Crit/Acc/SkS/SpS/Parry and 31 Det/Pie. What's actually going on here is people are getting butthurt that they may not get this and they refuse to believe that.
You can meld up to 75 stat points (of 5 different types) on your Novus. Regardless of materia tier, it's 1:1. It's pretty damn clear if you've actually been following people who've been working on Novus.
Im worried that when ppl start completing the novus weapons and it comes out that the stats are what they say they are, exactly how many ppl are gonna throw a fit because the novus smashes full soldiery weapons.
As a DRG I wasnt sure wether or not I wanted the liberator until I saw what novus brought but since the release of the patch I have absolutely no interest in the liberator since the novus is only a little bit lower in power than the high allagan spear.
There will be undoubtedly ppl who call BS to novus being better than the soldiery weapon but maybe thats the reward for the ppl that farmed the atma, grinded the myth, did the books, farmed more myth, grinded out the alexandrites and farmed/ bought the materia.
