I tried with 2 alexandrites and a T2 materia but it doesn't work. Again, it seems like you have to unlock them by using low tier Materia. Just in case.

Well Regardless I'll just stock up on alexandrites this week (hopefully FATES are kind can't really push myself to farm myth after animus just finished last week other then roulette) So hopefully in a few days we'll have more known facts on exactly how to unlock higher Materia

Is it just me or is there even more grinding and rng in this single step than the last two combined? O.o I don't think they considered feedback at all, what were they doing these last two delays?

I mean let's think about it for a sec.

Complaints were;

1. No one likes fates
2. no one wants to farm myth anymore(let's be serious those of us with aniums are sick of bray)
3. RNG is the devil

What they added for Novus is;

1. Farm fates for Alexandrite
2. Farm myth (800 each) to farm maps to farm Alexandrite(a daily also provides a map)
3. Intense SB grind to get materia which when converted is RNG whether you get what you want
4. meld materia with alexandrite onto sphere scroll(requiring 900 myth btw) FOR A CHANCE to up your stats
5. (yes the stats are at first 100% but it drops the more you meld turning into pure rng)

It honestly looks like they took fan feedback in order to make something everyone would dislike specifically.

Do people not realize that you are guaranteed to get at least 1/day. Not sure if willfully ignorant or just dumb.

Problem is you can fail melding and lose materia + alexandrite. IMHO its worse than the atma/animus part.

When infusing at less than 100%, I'm pretty sure the dialog box reads as follows:

"If the infusion fails you will lose the materia but not the alexandrite. Proceed?"

With at least one guaranteed alexandrite a day from doing roulettes, you'll have all the alexandrite you need in 75 days or less. It's just a matter of materia.

Quest called no man's trash near Aniumus enchantment dude. Finish it and it'll open up a daily in Mor Dhona, where you need to do an expert roulette to get a Map. Do the map and you get an Alexandrite. Be warned though map is brutally hard. Bring another person or two with you.

SO whos been grinding for the past 12 hours and has over 5 melds? curious if we need 15 sphere scrolls per weapon :x
