Ok has anyone put a materia onto the scroll yet? I bought some Tier 3 Crit and I can't infuse even one. Do I need to infuse a Tier 1 and 2 first? or do I need to have more Alexandrite?

From what i'm reading, you start with Tier1 and it goes up from there. You only need 1 Alexandrite per attempt.
If you don't fail any mend....for what I've been reading % success is not always 100% (I'm gonna guess, closest you are to 75 melds less % success).
So, probably "at least" 75 alexandrite.
Found some info on Reddit.... but I guess people haven't had the time to get more than a few Alex to check. But to me it seems like we will need 75+ Alex to get it done, Unless higher Tiers will give you more than one point per materia. If we do only get 1 point per meld then down the road SE needs to tie relics to end game and make them top tier. Because this is a huge grind.
from what i can tell it is more time consuming then anything. if that is the case i do not think they should ever be made better then the latest weapons from the Binding Coil.Found some info on Reddit.... but I guess people haven't had the time to get more than a few Alex to check. Both are time consuming and with luck on your side it will be faster to get a high allagan weapon. With T9 weapons all you need to do is learn the fight and hope you have a good static to beat it. Relic is a huge time investment, I'm sure there will be a few people done with it by Saturday. But I don't see why SE can't at some point make both Relic and End Game weapons the same ilvl for future content.
Don't be the one to go rush and try and buy up tons of materias from the MB. Need to start of with lower Tiers. So give it a week or so and the prices should drop. I would say I feel bad but some people on my server bought T4 materias for like 600k...

well there WILL be a point where Binding Coil will stop. at some point Bahamut will have to rear his ugly head and get defeated. i would suspect if Relic weapons ever surpass Allagan weapons it won't be till sometime after the final Coil. sure the Relic weapon is time consuming. but that is about it. the gil to buy a weapon with T3 materia slotted now is hardly even sizable anymore. plus the Atma thing will change in the future. so it takes a minimal amount of effort. huge time & some gil here and there.
on the other hand just forming a static group alone can be difficult. and may take some time to get a reliable group on a reliable schedule. not everyone is good at that sort of thing. so most people will either scout out a recruit ad or wait for someone to pick them up. and some groups may only play once per week. but if the group works, beggars can't be choosers. and then you have to practice it enough to get it on farm status. PLUS every turn before it in the same Coil. and isn't there a weekly lock out?
IMO, it takes more commitment, effort and skill to be farming the High Allagan weapons.

That's why I'll also let other do the "theorycraft" about which stat combo is the best for each job....not going to waste time/gil doing a +44crit / +31det to later find out you gimped yourself and your DGN/MNK/BRD needed other mixture of melds.
So I apologize if this question has been asked and answered....I can't read through this many pages of a thread while working at the same time :\
I get how the secondary stat upgrades work with the sphere scrolls. I have been able to see enough about that to understand it. My question is this: I main BRD, and my secondary stats on Artemis Animus are Accuracy and Skill Speed. What if I want to change Skill Speed, but keep Accuracy? Do I have to use a scroll to rebuild Accuracy from scratch, do I get a scroll for Accuracy that starts at 40 (the # you attain for having Animus), or do I not even have to get a scroll for this stat and it will upgrade on its own after I am done upgrading the other stat of my choice?
Thanks,
