2.28 patch notes

I thought it would be a very minor patch but there is quite a lot of "quality of life" things, i am pleased

A little worried about the Novus potentially not increasing the weapon damage. At least the way it was worded made it seem like it was only the ilvl and stats

It's possible considering they've already done it with animus. The way I read it though was that the main stats would remain the same during the scroll enhancement process while all the other stats would be replaced with the stats from the scroll. That would have nothing to do with the weapon damage as that is a static number that plays no part in stat customization.

Assuming you can get one alexandrite per map (this new map that will be introduced), that means you'll have to gather at least 10-15 alexandrites which would mean 10 days or so even before attempting to fully meld a scroll, so I can't see anyone not even bothering buying materia at least not until past the first two weeks?

The materia exchange is an awful system , you can't choose what you get back, it's a negative exchange, and as I said you chance of getting a secondary stat(or one worth gil) are extremely rare esp in this method(it's simple math), and every materia has a different value so I can't trade with players, so I have no idea what you are talking about trading materia.
you are less likely to get a level 4 materia from 45 gear compared to i70 so yeah i'm not going to waste time with 45.
Your ignoring a hundred other factors, largely this is a weapon quest line for people whom play a disciple of the war class and are working on a weapon. I shouldn't be forced to go level a craft to lvl 50 so you can do this potion of the question without spending gil large amounts of gil, oh wait leveling a craft to 50 takes millions of gil.

I'm largely annoyed more so because this means gill sellers are going to be worse then ever and SINCE SE doesn't do anything to stop gill sellers they are going to be spamming the chat log even more. it's hard enough to play this game outside of DF now days thanks to gilseller spam this is just going to make it worse.

No mention of weapon/magic damage

They mentioned Healer's weapon, they have accuracy from weapons (For What The Points, only God can answer)

I do believe they mean we can't alter "accuracy" that already on that weapon which its will be remain the same

But well, no mentioned weapon damage, its good guess but I believe they mean Healer's weapon case
