you can spiritbond without DoH/L, and i dont think we'll need DoH to *meld* materias to scrolls.
also you need to get alexandrites and sphere scrolls.
ofc those with lots of money, or those that SB a lot, previously, will get their Novus a little faster. And you needed materias for making your relic, to begin with, so what's the fuss now?

Uhm, that Gae Bolg got a pretty good boost in crit rate...

Ever gone spirit bonding? Spending 4 hours +120k in gear currently( 300k+ easily after update. because all the sp gear is going sky rocket as well), if you are lucky every 150k and 4 hours you will get 1-2 random lvl 4 mataria that could be one that doesn't ever work towards a weapon or have value(int/vit/elemental resistance) or one that sales and will still sale for like 30k(skill speed for instance). In fact you have an much smaller chance of getting the secondary stats as a mataria when compared to all the other stats. Creating materia is more RNG then when atma farming + it cost you gil. There is no way you can do a novious without spending large amounts gil, even if your an omnicrafter, and spiritbond everything yourself.

yes, i have a bunch of Materia IV from SB, and it didnt cost anything, cause i grathered/crafted the gear myself=win.
it will take time to get gil to by materia.
it takes time to SB.
doesn't matter which you prefer, but i prefer to not spend gil on greedy ppl.
it only takes a long time with lv50+ gear, and you can get IV from lv45 stuff, and possibly a bit lower.
And if you get *wrong* materia, you can trade it for what you need. or convert materias until you get what you want.

The materia exchange is an awful system , you can't choose what you get back, it's a negative exchange, and as I said you chance of getting a secondary stat(or one worth gil) are extremely rare esp in this method(it's simple math), and every materia has a different value so I can't trade with players, so I have no idea what you are talking about trading materia.
you are less likely to get a level 4 materia from 45 gear compared to i70 so yeah i'm not going to waste time with 45.
Your ignoring a hundred other factors, largely this is a weapon quest line for people whom play a disciple of the war class and are working on a weapon. I shouldn't be forced to go level a craft to lvl 50 so you can do this potion of the question without spending gil large amounts of gil, oh wait leveling a craft to 50 takes millions of gil.

I'm largely annoyed more so because this means gill sellers are going to be worse then ever and SINCE SE doesn't do anything to stop gill sellers they are going to be spamming the chat log even more. it's hard enough to play this game outside of DF now days thanks to gilseller spam this is just going to make it worse.

Most crafts take like sub-200k to level from 1 to 50, depending on what kind of methods you used and whether you bought or gathered your stuff etc. I did Builder of the Realm in 2.0 and I didn't use more than 400k on a single craft, ever. Should be easier off by now anyway.

And why would you need to cap a crafter, to meld? you can just ask someone in FC to do it for you. All you need to do is get gear from leve/instances/maps/retainers/etc, and SB. Doesn't cost anything.

I wasn't aware that making a lv 50 crafter cost anything...i was making gil while lv it up. The only cost i had, was teleporting to some camp, to turn in leves, and the gil i got from leve, was more than tele cost.
If it costs you milions to make a lv 50 crafter...you're doing it wrong.
