    no, you can choose the stat you want to put on the novus by melding materias to the scroll and im guessing Alexandrite are the new catalyst we have to get to infuse them

    If you choose to. You infuse the sphere scroll with materia to change the stats.

    You realize price will not raise up immediately if YOU got in game immediately and buy all materia in the market before they put down (Not log in yet)

    Yeah I'm aware of that but I can't get on at the time the servers up so part of me kinda want to flip the tables because I didn't made the investment before the maintenance.

    Which is exactly why they don't say anything. If people knew materia would be used for the Novus upgrades, the prices would have shot up as soon as people knew.
