Why can't we solo old content?

This game is already practically single player with duty finder.

I'm sure at some point it will be possible. As someone mentioned above, right now might be too soon.
Wouldn't be surprised if by expansion time they open up most or all of the "older" dungeons to solo que.

Personally, I wouldn't mind it if it gives people more options to have fun, but I wouldn't do it.
Now TERA has solo dungeons you can do and it's pretty fun. I am new to TERA so I dunno too much.
You don't get gear drops or anything but it is pretty fun to explore and fight at your own pace. I'm also a Priest and it's fun as hell.

On here, I wouldn't like it because the WHM sucks balls when it goes to PvE play, and we don't get a AoE till 45 and the combat feels really slow
for me to solo anything, same with SCH, easier but meh...it's not fun, only fun to Heal here.

I'd like the instances to have lil' campfires too or resting stops, to increase your HP bar thing for a while like TERA does and sit, and eat your food for buffs etc.
[TERA uses charms or whatever lol.] Would be pretty neat though to look around the dungeons and probably find something hidden and stuff at your own leisure.

so lets replace levi weapons with ct or coil 1 gear, which is faceroll when at ilevel 97. should I not be allowed to get gear for other jobs by running it as my main class too? do you have a burning hatred of greed parties?

He, rather than that, I'd like open world dungeons (like, going in the wanderer's palace or Dzemael Darkhold from the map rather than with DF. Complementary option, both would exist), with the possibility to enter with whoever you want (can go with 10 dps and no tank if you wish), and explore a more difficult version of it.


But seriously, every MMO I played before allowed you flexible groups (with max players set in stone though) and you could solo thing if you had the nuts/overgear to do it, so why not in FFXIV ? Why are we so adamant about it in FFXIV ?
