DRG needs a buff, and not the way everyone else is whining about!

I've read this whole thread going "what?" because I've absolutely never noticed this having any effect at all. A bigger problem is BLMs having as much Pdef as we have Mdef, but much less hp. Honestly, if this tiny effect is having such impact on your group, there's nothing to say about it other than you're a bad dragoon.

I laughed at this. Go try and survive a megaflare without any buffs as a DRG. As a MNK I can come out alive from a megaflare un-shielded, but a DRG who has more HP can't live through a megaflare without any shields is ridiculous. It may not be a big problem due to the nature of fights which requires shields to be put on players regardless of class, BUT when it comes to DRG you absolutely HAVE to put shields on them or the consequences would be more dire versus another class who may have not gotten an adlo.

Not to put down the OP or anything but this kind of thinking is part of what contributes to the homogenous nature of the game. The simple solution to low MDEF is simply to have your healer SS + Adlo you before something like Megaflare.

Why are we trying to make all the classes the same? I like the idea of having to look out for certain things when you bring a specific class. Something better more than just the difference between ranged/melee e.g. Ifrit Ex, Garuda Ex.

Besides, outside of endgame DRGs get a lot of bonuses from their high Def and HP. I guess the nature of the beast is that everyone will focuses exclusively on raid content when discussing classes, but taken as a whole there's no reason they need a buff. Then they would actually just turn into little mini-tanks.

To be honest, I think most DRGs need some intelligence buffs these days.

In ilvl 70 gear, my BLM has 505 mdef, looks like drg got shafted. You could reset your stat points to include more vit, you'll take a hit to offensive stats, but you can't dps while your dead.
