I sense a new wave of cries against RNG in the near future.
Also, the Extreme Primal Trifecta. Titan, Ifirit, and Garuda at the same time.
Always remember the Silver Rule:
"Treat others as they treat you!" ...or something like that.

I've thought about this. You know how there are multiple platforms you run to in the 'normal' version? Maybe it will force groups to 'split up' and engage multiple difficult fights at once.
I hope it will be hard enough where it won't be possible to 'sell' wins. In FFXIV 1.0, Ifrit extreme would throw an AoE pulsing damage debuff on someone, and even if you died you still dealt damage to others. I hope something similar is done (to dead people) so there's no way to safely take yourself out of the fight and get carried. I generally don't mind people getting carried (although I'd never support it) but this is a fight I do not think carries should be possible for. I'd be very disappointed in the fight if carries were possible.
I was wondering about this. It would be really silly if the fight also had a gear check, because some people just haven't had a lot of luck with coil drops. For example... Even though I was clearing Twintania for months before 2.2 hit, I never even saw my Allagan weapon until looooooong after it was 'irrelevant'. :S I do hope they find a way to make this fight difficult without at the same time making it a gear check. That said, if the fight REALLY requires an unreal amount of coordination and skill, the people putting the time in have probably already been farming SCOB for quite a while.

I'm definitely in. It's the challenge that I want, not really the reward.

I don't care and will laugh if it's just another rehashed extreme. (Devs are really raising the bar with creativity around here)
Unlike the "leet" players that have a fit over casual content, I am all for giving them more crazy level stuff... and titles are great for them.
What they also need to do is either produce some more quality casual encounters, or nerf some of the roadblocks like Twintania to open up more content to casuals.
Frankly, I would rather they make new casual raid content... as coil is pretty boring and crusty.

I've been wondering if they were going to do something like this, like a superboss from the single player FFs that is just there to challenge the best and for bragging rights and would last over an hour. Think Yiazmat from FFXII.
A friend and I were actually discussing the possibility of them bringing in Yiazmat earlier today. Seriously, if they brought that boss, it would be amazing.
How About 2 Primals in one fight at the same time ??? imagine Titan Vs Garuda ? lol
Love the idea. And although would love a Giglamesh HM or Ex, don't want it to be this one.
Time to enter The Magus Sisters....
