If its not, then why don't you go away? If it is how you say: then your words mean absolutely nothing here.Calling you names? Now you just make up things too. The way you're running this is like you read a critique's review of a film without ever watching it, and go around basing said review as your own opinion. You don't even know what the film is like for yourself. It's the same concept here, you have no experience and so your opinion isn't your own. You may not like scripted fights, ok, that is your opinion, but it isn't going to change, so the stance of this game not being for you is the same. I know what this forum is, and I know the topic, however you do act like you know it all, even if you haven't said it bluntly, when really you haven't done anything in the game yet.
You don't bring anymore to the discussion from what i've seen.
I keep feeding because I can't believe your posts...
Your opinions are complete moot because you have no personal experience.
Me: I like pie!
You: I hate pie! Pie should be changed! Note: I never had pie in my life, but it should be changed in every way, remove pie, or make it taste different, look and smell different.
Also, you try hard to weave this game into your personal likings IE. WoW or Everquest or whatever games you played then promptly complain about near all aspects of this game.
Everyone else is making suggestions based on what they have done and wanting some new, or like how the systems works.
It makes absolute no sense to attack people because you hate how this game works, and the kicker of it all: YOU DON'T EVEN PLAY THE CONTENT to be making any arguments.
You bring not much into the discussion because you have not done the content to discuss anything.
This is untrue, most of everything in this game is "Do A,B and C, to get X going, then repeat until D,E, F starts then start to Y, repeat, you may get some QRS's here too." You've done it all game.
Some reason I guess you wanna be in a big topic, to yet again, rant and rave about mechanic's that you don't know about.
I would not mind something new, but I fear this community is not 100% prepared, I have not done coil past T7 so I have nothing to say there.
Also you think Steps is hard so I dunno why you're even saying anything lol.

Thats not really true, there is a lot of pie thrown at you in the entire game. Coils do not equal every single part of the game, lots of the game's mechanics are "You must do this, or something bad happens." I have done a lot of the extreme modes. They are really fun fights!I keep feeding because I can't believe your posts...

A lot of low level mechanics are the same.

What's your point? What's the point of adding mechanics to a tank and spank fight when you can just ignore the mechanics and isn't punished for it? What's even the point of designing a mechanic that isnt just stepping out of aoes with "you must do this, or nothing bad happens or whatever, I don't care"?Thats not really true, there is a lot of pie thrown at you in the entire game. I think you completely missed the point of the original post. Seriously, go back and read it. It's brilliantly written. What's your point? The point is that mechanics driven combat becomes a fly-by-numbers and ceases to be any kind of challenge to the people it actually matters to. For the rest of the players, it's an insurmountable hurdle that no bonus gear can get around. Because it really doesn't matter if you're wearing level 100 gear or level 140 gear in T5; if you screw up the mechanics, and you're oh so very dead.
Gear is almost insubstantial in this game. It exists as a barrier between you and high level content, but only as an entry level. With every fight being scripted, you're not really fighting the boss, you're fighting a series of predetermined events.
The point, dear friends, is that there exists a middle ground that everyone's seems keen to ignore. A gradual increase in difficulty for screw-ups. Not every single error needs to be punished with instant death for the party-members.
The sooner SE realize this, the sooner fights will improve not just for the 'filthy casuals' but for the mainstream and hardcore audience as well.
The extreme Primals are exactly the same as Coil as far as scripted mechanics go. Heck, Titan EX is literally the most scripted fight in the entire game: he will ALWAYS perform his moves in the exact same rotation every single time with absolutely no variation whatsoever. The only one that is truly random is Mog EX, and look at how many people hate that fight.
Extreme Mode's are the same as normal dungeons and coil.Thats not really true, there is a lot of pie thrown at you in the entire game. You're still dancing to the beat of the drums.
Walking contradiction here lol. I just don't think people here can handle random stuff, or
types of punishment because people try and exploit the system and bypass it.
I think...Allagan's Rot was something cool? Never met the thing. I'm all in for variety though.
Stupid question, but what is "Team Jump Rope"? I think I know but not too sure.
@Itaru: I thought so, thank you for the clarification!
