A lot of the fun has been left out of the game as countermeasure against RMT.

We have a virtual world where the economy is pointless. They made it so that you only get the best gear through content or tokens. The cooldowns on consumable items makes them all but useless, and people don't craft/consume many. Bards/Archers don't even need to buy ammo!

Everybody can level all crafts to max level with ease; making anything they may 'want' not 'need' themselves. IMO a craft should take a long time to max level, and we could only max one type of crafter. I could go on talking about the effect of the pointless economy on our world but I think you get my point. The biggest thing missing from the game is an economy that matters.

I understand why it is like this: if the best gear was crafted from rare drops in coil and then sold on the market, any player without a soul could just simply buy gil and have those items. In the process those same players drive prices up too high for honest players to compete. A solid case of damned if they do, damned if they don't.

Bottom line is RMT has ruined the mmorpg genre and the lack of fun and abundance of boredom is the result.
