There is no point in trying to have a useful discussion with that small group. They speak of toxic behavior, when in reality, their behavior toward what they call "elitists" (people who want a challenge) is the most toxic speech I've seen.

You've got a funny idea of "hardcore" vs "casual" if you think dungeons, Coil 1-4, primals, and crafting/gathering are "hardcore." You can take 2 hours/day, still take 2-3 days off from it, and cap soldiery. Even Turn 5 is faceroll easy now if 6/8 people can dodge Divebombs and Twisters reliably well. This whole game permeates casual content, which isn't a bad thing because, personally, it gives me a bunch of stuff to do. The only real "hardcore" content is Titan Ex and Coil 2.

Thus the mark as Semi-Hardcore or as the OP put it, "Mainstream". Casual play isn't just "Hardcore but in smaller bites". Casual players are those who aren't aiming for progression, but are simply playing for the joy of playing. Even those who play 8 hours a day can still be casual, just as a hardcore player might only manage 1 hour.

Where did I ever say I have a static? Everything can be done in PF or FC/LS without a set static, even Coil 2. Please don't make assumptions.

Also, expert+hard roulette is at least 90 soldiery, both of which can be done in a pre-made party. All it takes is 5 days, at 30 minutes max per dungeon. 15% Echo Buff makes Turn 5 faceroll easy. It was solo-tankable (even by some PF groups) before echo, now it's super easy to solo-tank it. How is that living in a dreamworld or prove I run those with a static?

You really believe Turn 5 is impossible with pugs from PF?

Claiming that it is Impossible is a pretty big statement.

Especially when posts like this have appeared before.

Take a look at actual numbers and come say again that T5 is so faceroll easy. (hint : you can get % of completion for T5 in PS4 achievements. Unless you label PS3/4 players as "bad players", but then I can nothing for you.)

Without even judging about EN/JP levels of skill, and solely on the reading of this reddit, you could see why they were able to do it when in NA/EU servers it would be hard :

=> playing at a time when "only good players" are
=> japanese people don't flame you for not going their way (they just leave if they can't stand it), ie less reasons to get the toxic DF groups we can see on NA servers on Coil/Ex primals, ie more chances to complete it even if you are not perfect.

There's a time for socializing, teaching new players how to play, and screwing around. End game raiding is time for seriousface. Instead of learning to step it up just a little bit, people seem to be learning to expect to have their hand held and the content cleared for them.

while it may be true for some, you can't expect to fix people childish behavior by acting in a childish way.

That's why I always leave any duty which I know I won't enjoy : people flaming, not even trying (by that I mean people saying : "OK we wiped one on titan HM, gonna wipe 4 more times to carry all these noobs". Well, ok, without me guys.) or more generally people who can't enjoy playing.

That number would only be true if they had a 100% retention rate. You need to remove everyone who has quit to get an accurate %.

Throw that % around all you want. Currently FFXIV boast over 2 million players. Even if it was 20% of 2 Million that leaves 1.6m players not being part of that 20%.
