Your expectations should be loweredThis is degenerating into squabble rather quickly. It really doesn't matter if you think the content is easy, as obviously not everyone feels that way. This attitude of "well I can do it so you just suck" is exactly what the OP was talking about. It's genuinely amazing to me how many people fail in realizing their own arrogance.
It's called "humility," try it sometime. It has nothing to do with whether you feel jumping rope is easy. It has nothing to do with whether you feel the whole game is easy. It has everything to do with a lame-horse mechanic that ISN'T challenging and ISN'T healthy for the WHOLE of the community.
God, this is like watching congress hold a lame duck over abortion. Do you even hear yourselves anymore or are you just going to keep repeating the same ridiculous argument until you cough up blood?
What is amazing for me is that OP wants contents that can be enjoyed by everyone, from the so called casual to the so called hardcore. I don't even understand why there are discussion about handling everything to casuals.
This thread is the zillionth evidence that trying to reason with elitists is like trying to teach kangaroos to play the fiddle. The real problem, though, is not elitists, but developers always catering to them, though they are a minority. I guess all game developers are elitist at heart.
This is the reason we can't have good things, we can no more have real fun in games, game communities fill with arrogant jerks, people unsubscribe, games (except WoW, for now) end having 100k players instead of 10 million, games go free to play.
This is the problem: devs cater to elitists and forget about the majority of players - and the majority goes away. :P

This game has 2000 hours of casual content and 2 hours of hardcore content, and the developers are catering to the elitists? Are you for real?
Without some difficult content, this is a Final Fantasy-flavored Second Life. Nobody should want that.
Patch 2.3 is Casual Gamer Catering: The Patch. Are we playing the same game?
you are seriously messing around there... even for a good group that farm it, do T5, all the EX and T6-T9 will take more of 2 hours. This game has 2000 hours of casual content and 2 hours of hardcore content, and the developers are catering to the elitists? Are you for real?

the trouble that you don't seems to understand is this: because they try to balance content for satisfy hardcore, they can't add content. because they need to balance the game to the point that even people with little play time can still beat the content (if they have 7 other people with them that know the fight)
more important, because hardcore don't want the other to have the same stuff... all the other challenge that was possible in the game was destroyed litterally. treasure hunt and the futur "hunt" system are made to not give more than i90 stuff... when we can get i110 stuff max. what the point? it means the team that do T6-T9 every week, will faceroll this sort of alternative content.
and what it worst... it's that the i110 stuff is not needed for finish T6-T9, some team have done it in i95-100. what the point? make it more easier to do? when any attack that will hit you will mostly kill you?
i don't see the point there.... instead to care for the hardcore that only a small part of the community... they must add content that have replayability and fun! challenge must'nt be like we have actually. it's not challenge... we are not playing... we are repeating like a machine the pattern that needed for beat the content. where are our capacity of player? we are machine! we are not playing!
at best we are dancing repeating the step of a dance with the hope that our 7 other partner will not miss a step and wipe us.
why people leave? because is not fun... is totally the inverse of fun. when you have beat this dance... it's over, you will beat it almost all the time with the same group. they are trying to make a game a la darksoul into mmorpg... it's silly, it's not epic, it's not what we ask... we ask to be forced to play our character to the most extend of our capacity and more important in team! not right next to the 7 other member of the team. they need to add more interaction between class that will affect the teamplay!
This is the argument I've been trying to explain to the numbheads that keep posting here, but the answer is either empty rhetoric, victimist end of the world preaching or a list of content that according to them is not casual enough (check that post by the guy with the BLM hat).
Apparently CT and coil 1 are "semi hardcore".
With views like that it's simply impossible to reconcile a middle ground because for these people something like CT or Coil 1 is already hard content. For any player with any semblance of skill, today's CT and Coil 1 are filler faceroll content.
Now, it's good that a game has filler easy mode semi rewarding content. It gives us something to do when we are bored and have no one competent to play with. We push the nifty DF button and there we have it, an instant raid that may give you a piece for one of your alt jobs. It also allows us to help friends that may be at a previous tier when it comes to end game. That this content exists is a good thing.
However, making all the top content like this is not.
The rest of the thread is filled with people trying to cover their complains with absurd logic and circle jerking ("omg, someone that thinks like me!" "omg, trying to reason with elitists is impossible!").
As I said before: this is the voracious casual crowd wanting to take the last 10% of the game that isn't casual. And apparently everyone else is toxic for not agreeing.

It's hilarious that you replied to someone who agreed with you. You did the very thing you accuse other people of doing, except change it to "omg, someone thinks like me!" "omg, trying to reason with casuals is impossible!".
Stay classy, hypocrisy.
Obviously we aren't. I don't even think we live in the same world. :PThis game has 2000 hours of casual content and 2 hours of hardcore content, and the developers are catering to the elitists? Are you for real?

There are many fights that casuals can't do.
In general; all the extreme primals, twintania and all of second coil. Fortunately, extremes are not tied to story so they can enjoy the game by beating story mode versions. Twintania kind of makes it tough but eventually with some decent FC members even casuals can down, or get carried, through it. This argument is foolish otherwise.
Although, it's as OP said, even with more gear if you can't do the mechanic, you can't do the mechanic. Which is what they wanted SE to move away from even a little bit.
