I want to agree with you guys on the jump being based off the position, but I've had this happen to me many times in the past. Even static members would be surprised "how did you take so much damage?" I used jump and he did mountain buster. I've sold too many ex-primals to know this can and will happen. It isn't about the tank losing aggro, use jump during heart phase after the second plumes (iirc) and you make get a nice surprise >_>
Also, you guys seem to be ignoring an obvious issue where I stated an issue with the "lock" you get from that animation. You still get locked in place without being able to use your GCD skill. I know other jobs suffer from this like warrior and brutal swing. However those don't tend to lock as long as this once you meet the skill speed requirement.

So, yes syrus if it worked that way 100% of the time I would agree completely with you. This is not the case and I've had my friend who is also drg (has t9 spear) have this happen to him too many times. Maybe it is a glitch that occurs depending on the mob's size targeting cursor... idk but it shouldn't happen.

I had this happen to me too but only on titan during heart phase. I think it has something to do with essentially the heart being a different target with a different hitbox, that might place you in front of titan for a short moment.

It does work that like 100%

I have sold many Primals Ex and etc etc content, and I have not once had that happen to me. When you use a Jump, your character is clearly shown relative to your position upon landing. So if you're getting hit because of suspicious glitches, can't say much for you there :P

And I was ignoring the animation lock/GDC comment because I agree with that XD

If you are behind the heart, or to the flank, you will be positioned there during/post Jump. The heart isn't positioned so far away from Titan to put you in danger of cleave.

Like I said in an earlier post, it doesn't matter. Frontal cleave skill that you shouldn't take damage from you do, cause jump lol.
