Where did all the AF armor go?

every time that monk armor shows up I just want to go into a fit of rage; we're supposed to be monks, not gypsie dance kings. The artifact armor for 1.0 and 1.5 looks pretty decent; they looked like normal monk attire. Every thing before and after that is just awful though, it doesn't exude the personality of what the monk is - a warrior who uses sheer will and the power of his body to decimate his opponents. Instead it looks like we rolled around in the back of some theater dressing room, bursted out and yelled "Ta-da!".

Every other class their gear contains elements of their motif. Warriors get heavy armor or animal pelts, paladins get your typical knightly armor or something which looks holy, dragoons have a great deal of dragon aspects incorporated into their armor, etc.

Did the designer get Dancer and Monk mixed up? Because that's what it feels like.

The upset feeling can be understandable however, If you look up Yang from FFIV, you can see the strong similarity of the outfit he wears and the AF armor Yoshida showed us.

Yang was one of the first true "Monk"s of the Final Fantasy series, I can be wrong though.

The armor pays homage towards him and it's design can rub many people who are unfamiliar with the franchise the wrong way since it's a total jump from Temple cyclas to red pants and some weird chest plate.

If we get his tattoos, I'll be super happy though.

My guess is that they will add the AF when they increase the level cap along with adding more Job Quests and (one or more) Job Abilities. Which i personally don’t expect to be released until the Expansion Pack.

I would really love to see the Paladin, Scholar, White Mage and Black Mage AF2. They haven’t shown those yet.

Seeing, maybe... but not touching!
I doubt they will add it with CT2 because we are getting new "Myth-Gear" with new Coils...
Most players hoped it will be with Coil2 but it seems we will not see them before Coil3... That means earliest release is 2.4
The funny thing is they showed us that gear in LiveLetter OKT/30/2013

I would assume expansion content. If we get them earlier, feel blessed. We still have a whole other coil to get gear from in 2.4. I would speculate 2.5 - 3.0(exp.)
