Wait you can Dodge the Thunder Attack from the Succubis? Even from Haukke Hard the last Boss?

You can dodge casting spells placing you behind the boss, like thunder III on the first boss AK, or abilities as Garuda or the first boss on "Lost City".
I did one time haukke manor hm has tank, and the last boss cast the thunder, turn and hits me. I dk if you can dodge or not.

For some reason they decided to "fix" it for the Haukke Manor HM boss, but that's like one of the few bosses in the entire game that casts properly. SE never really makes any sense.

This just doesn't seem right. I mean, if it was suddenly decided LoS is an exploit, they would need to change the game's battle mechanics.

The question here is the inconsistency of when LoS is possible and when it isn't. Sometimes, abilities are left alone and sometimes they're altered to disallow LoS. Naturally, it can be assumed that SE has an idea of what specific abilities are allowed or even intended to be LoS'ed. Thus, it remains to be seen whether or not Devour is one of them.

You can dodge Lady Amandine's Thunder III and Fire III attacks just by going behind her (making Dark Mist the only attack you need to worry about as a tank). I think that's impossible with Halicanusses(?) though.

Some you can. Go behind it during the cast and it will miss. There are frontal cone ones and AoE ( the ones where you actually see red markings on the ground ). The Frontal Cone ones, you can avoid, same for first AK Boss.

If it is a forward facing cone AOE and you move behind the casting mob (and even outside the telegraph) why should you get hit?

It is frontal Conal and initiated by a Yellow "Ball" above your head. Whereever it is, will be the direction the Boss will face. People can avoid it by getting out of the way as soon as the Ball disappears.

Also i do believe that this is actually intended, since you get a 4 Second stun by using this Method. If you use the Briar, you do not get the 4 Sec Stun, if you get eaten, you also do not get the Stun. So since the only appearance of the 4 Sec Stun is avoiding Devour with LoS, i do believe this is meant that way.
