    [Suggestion] chat log filtering against RMT-tell

    Dear Dev,

    Regarding RMT-tell, the system has made an improvement that allows players right-click the RMT-teller and add it to black-list.

    As an enhancement, I would like to suggest adding [black list] to chat log filters,
    so once a person is added to the blacklist, current log will be refreshed and all existing TELL from this person will be filtered immediately.

    It would be very helpful as players could have a method to "clear" the chat log that is filled up by RMT-tells.

    Thanks in advance for your considering.

    This was already requested / sugested several times and I +1 this as well

    On top of that it would be also nice ot have a (local) dictionary based chat filter - so we can filter out anything we're not interrested in, not only the RMT rubbish (like LGF, LGM ATMA shouts etc.).

    I didn't know it has been requested. Thanks for telling me.

    My main concern is, when a player changes the setting of the applied log filter, the chat log will reflect the new filter effect immediately.
    So why not include "black-list" in the log filter so the TELL from a blacklisted person (rmt) could be filtered from current log immediately.

    Since I think players have to black-list RMT-tell by themselves for a long while, therefore this enhancement should be helpful,
    as many players not only want to deny new tell but also want to remove received tell from current screen ^^;

    +1 to this despite it being somewhat of a band-aid.

    These accounts should be banned for 2 reasons:
    1. Our blacklists are limited to 200 names. I'm near the limit and I don't blacklist non-RMT. Very few names ever end up "(Deleted)". SE should clean this up before it becomes a problem.
    2. Banning these RMT will cost RMT money on fresh accounts and subscription time, money which will be paid to SE and can be used to cover the method of banning RMT.

    RMT could be banned a few ways:
    1. By an employee/GM manually
    2. By player blacklist frequency/volume/count
    3. By other statistics like number of outgoing tells, Levenshtein variance in tell messages, tells per second
    (or any combination of the above)

    I'd love to see this resolved, whether the band-aid or a comprehensive solution. Having a polluted chat log is annoying, and there are so many RMT accounts that you can't ever blacklist all of them. It is a neverending process... which sucks.

    That's because characters aren't deleted when an account is banned.
    (I believe this is in case it's a stolen account. SE wants to retain the ability to restore stolen accounts to their proper owners with as little damage as possible, so characters are left intact.)

    I'm not entirely sure why a few of the RMT spam bots do end up as (deleted). Perhaps those are on accounts that haven't been banned, but the gilseller decided the character is on too many blacklists so should be deleted and replaced with a new random name.

    If that is true, then they should be removed from blacklist upon being banned, at least optionally. Removing 200 names from a blacklist, one at a time, only to add some of the names back seems like an insane way to deal with the problem

    I read patch note wrote "Tell history will now be deleted automatically upon registering players to your blacklist."

    Could anyone tell me how does it work? I think it would be what I want to have but I don't see the effect. ^^;
