I don't think it's possibile like in FF11 Eugenics, because the music tracks are inside .dat files.

Ah ok,thanks for answering my questions Munba.
Grand company music is epic, I like it. All 3.

Yeah it's possible, XIV's music tracks are just Ogg Vorbis files with a few small changes. Someone's made a program that can convert your .ogg into the .dat format, but of course I can't link to it.
Also, the song will only play through one time. I've tried adding loop points to the file but it just makes the music cut out, so there's something more complex needed that nobody's figured out yet.![]()

Yeah, new songs are awesome!
I've noticed though, that the song from where you start adventuring from the city is the basic one. When you hear another song, then the monsters get angrier, so the songs are awesome, but watch out!
Thanks Kowen, hopefully someone can figure it out.![]()
I'll say this... the grand company music is awesome and works very nicely.
Now, I'm "okay" with the new music in areas of limsa.
Although the new blackshroud music is my favorite track in the OST, it could be in a worse location. Old shroud music fit so well, new one does not fit AT ALL. (Granted the old shroud isn't very good, but I'd prefer it to the new track)
And finally Thanalan. I've always liked the original. But I noticed walking out to camp bluefrog, some crazy pirate music started playing. Then I remembered, this is the music for Mistbeard cove. SO I walked down to mistbeard cove to see if they changed the music there... nope.... now 2 areas have exact same music.
My opinion, the music changes for the 3 areas, for the most part, are not a big deal. The gridania music might eventually grow on me... but.... The thanalan change will always and forever be know ( atleast to me ) as a huge mistake. It's probably one of the worst decisions I've seen, and I hope it gets fixed.
