Subscritpion on console questions.

Ok, so i got the game when it first came out and i got it on ps3. I reached end game and maxed out a few jobs and since the character pop ins were so bad on console it made it impossible to do large world events on it. So i decided to wait to get a ps4 to play it on there. These are my questions. First do i need to buy the game again to play it on ps4 if i already have a disc copy on ps3, second can i use my same character, and third how do i renew my subscription if i play on console, is it the same as if i play on pc?

Also, I cannot use credit cards or debit cards since I don't have either. So can I get game cards to us instead? Or would pre paid visa credit cards work to put in a sub?

1. You can upgrade for free to PS4 version using Mogstation until end of this year.
2. Yes - all characters and progress will be there if you use the same SE Service account.
3. Yes - again via Mogstation.
4. Yes - in US/ NA you can use game cards to recharge Crysta to pay for your sub, in Europe the 60 day sub cards (although they might be avialable in US now as well).

Yes NA has regular 60 day time cards now also.

ok so the game time cards, can i just get them at like gamestop? Are they special FF14 game cards or just like ultimate gamer cards that i use to buy the crystal stuff on my account and then use that to buy the sub?

Sorry for the noobish questions, first time wanting to put up a sub for a game.

Oh, also, since PS4 now has it so you need PS+ to play most games online, will I need that to play FF14? I hope not cause that means I bought the game, need to pay a sub to the game and need to pay sony as well to play, so that would be a $30 or so monthly fee just to play on PS4. Please tell me that's not the case.

You don't need PS+ to play FF14. There are specific 60 days time cards for FF14 - just look it up in Game or Amazon.

Ok, I upgraded my account from ps3 to ps4, then I put in the code it gave me. That let me download the game and I did. I decided to open the game to get things set up for when I get my sub up, it had me go through the process of saying I already have an account and signing me in, but then it says I have to either buy the game from the store or put in a product code. So what the hell do I do now? Where do I get this product code? I thought that's what I put in the store to download the game in the first place.

Are you login into the game using the same PSN account you've played the game on PS3 and have you downloaded the PS4 version on that same PSN account as well?

Yeah, I'm using the same psn account, and my same login for square enix.
