How could RMT abuse a feature allowing you to mail stuff to alts on the same account?

I know SE said they're wary of adding it because of "RMT Abuse" but I can't think of how something like that is abuse-able. Any ideas? It's really annoying having to find someone you can trust if you need to move gear/money from one character to the other.

simple answer is it's not. it's se giving lip service. the truth of the matter is when the rmt sends funds from one mule to another they do it on different accounts.

why? because if one gets caught and banned they won't lose both. if they mailed it to the same account and they were found out and banned the whole account(both mules) are banned and they lose it all.

Depends on company access allowance. Sometimes you're stuck in the "deposit only" ranking.

Sure, it's obvious now that they planned retainers thoroughly many months in advance. They want you to pay for "mules" just as we did in FFXI. Mule money is a good chunk of change for them. So what they did was cater to that small fan base of playing multiple characters but still make money off mules through retainers. So you can expect that we will never ever get the ability to send items between characters. There was no good reason for the decision but now we're in the know. There was a huge "good" reason for it, it was so they could make more money.

Yes, it would be so much better if we could send money/gear to alts, and friend alts, but SE dosnt want that.
The only work-around i have found, outside of fc chest (no access to gil...) is kinda like this:
Say you want to send gil to a crafting alt.
Crafting alt puts crappy item or item main needs up for sale at price you want to send to crafter.
Main purchases said item.
Crafter gets gil, main gets item.
Until we all band together and scream (looking at you Fantasia Freaks.....) to be able to friend and send on same account and world, this is the only real work around.
