Opinion: Am I the only person that has noticed this?

Being that I have taken to crafting in this game and enjoy it though admittedly at times it can be frustrating I have noticed something that really nags at me, A LOT. Yes like so many threads before I am talking about RMT. I swear to you since I started really getting into crafting I have been bombarded by the sh@t storm nearly non-stop and black list is running out of room. Has anyone else that crafts noticed that they seem to be targeted more? I am curious because my FC mates are REALLY good about voicing their encounters and I've not heard a thing. Ultimately there has got to be a more permanent solution to this. Like proof of life or whatever. Tell me I am not going nuts here. It has never been this bad for me.

You cannot receive tells while in an instance, so your battling friends may be off doing raids/etc and never see them much. However if you are crafting in town you are always going to be available to receive them. I've actually just disabled tells in my chat log entirely unless I'm shouting for crafting assistance or trying to join a group and will need to talk to someone. Now obviously this won't work with people who like to carry on with private conversations a lot but it suits me just fine

Gilsellers have definitely stepped it up this last week. There's 2 new groups shouting on Siren in addition to the three older ones. One of them will send their ad three times in rapid succession, filling up the whole chat window, and the second I blist them I'll get the same ad from another name three times again. Oe where the gilsellers seem to get into a little war and I get alternating ad spam from 2 of them that takes up my whole chatbox for dozens of lines. It's freaking bad.

Has anyone else noticed the unblockable gilsellers yet? They log in, spam, log out instantly and repeat. You can't blist a player who isn't logged in, and the bots do it so fast that by the time you can click "Add to blacklist" they're gone.

Seems to me that by now we'd have a way to combat this other than receive tell-black list-report-slap on the wrist/ban for a day-wash, rinse, repeat. Okay so SE doesn't want to perma-ban the people who got their accounts taken over by gil sellers. Well you knew it was against ToS so why are we having to suffer? Don't get me wrong I believe in forgiveness, ban that account and get in contact with the rightful owner somehow and say we will let you back in but you have to start from scratch. Do it again and you get an IP ban or whatever it is they do. This mess has gotten EXTREMELY out of hand.

Not sure what you're on about. Those accounts are suspended indefinitely. If it's a hacked account the owner needs to jump through hoops to get it back. The RMT are not doing that, they're creating new accounts and using accounts sold to them by players. Also you CANNOT IP ban. Dynamic IP as well as masks makes that useless.

Certain areas in the game
Even periods where there is little or no RMT activity, so that's no surprise.

I never got RMT tells until I started crafting, and then it was suddenly several a day.

The amount of spam I've been receiving this past week is ridiculous. @_@ I never had a problem with it in /shout before either, but lately there's sooo much.

Put yourself in Busy mode. check your FC chat if someone is trying to invite you into a party, that will ease your pain.

I doubt they will fix it: we have been talking about it since 1.0

If your blacklist is full you can delete more than half of those without any problems. Banned players don't show up as (DELETED) so many of those people are actually banned. They only show as Deleted when they were actually deleted by the user.
