Crafts requiring things i cannot make?

I'm not a veteran to this game by any means. Slowly enjoying the game leveling each class at the same time and now that i'm nearing 40 some DoH Classes are starting to require items that i cannot make.

Like a pair of gloves that require another pair of gloves as a base. I can't make the base gloves and none of the vendors i have found sell them.

Or you can get it as random rewards from the leves listed there. Most of the vintage craft will require the dropped item and also the corresponding brand skill to the element to finish comfortably at level. Without the brand skills, your progress will take twice as many steps to finish.

Some classes have abilities like "Brand of Lightning" or something like that. It increases your progress like Standard Synth but by a LOT more if you're crafting an item like the blackened smithy gloves that has an element with it.

Actually, it does the same as Standard Synth would do for an item of same level but not Vintage status. The vintage items reduce progress on non-elemental skills and non-correct-elemental skills by half. But yeah, you would want all of them and equip the right one if you want to finish vintage items comfortably.

Flawless Synthesis. That worked far better for me, at that level, than the Brands did. Its the guaranteed 40 Progress added synthesis move.

Those recipes make nice gear for the level they are at, basically on par with dungeon drops. Unfortunately, you will have issues making them HQ until you are a few levels above them. They can make you some money later on, but don't worry about crafting them to level up.

The good news is that these "damaged" gear items are usually sold VERY cheaply on the marketboards if you don't want to run the dungeons over and over again to obtain the item yourself (and possibly lose out to someone else lotting the same items).
