FFXIV Will Kick You Our During PSN Maintenance If Logged In

I'm on a PS4 and I was the end of Copperbell-HM from Daily Roulette. Maintenance on PSN started and it started to give notifications that FFXIV could not verify the license of my game. Which makes sense since the PSN servers are down.

My issue is that you guys say that as long as we are logged in we won't get kicked out during maintenance. Please publicize the correct information in the future for us PS4 players of the game.

oh hey, i just made a thread for the same reason. it is pretty crappy that "you will not be affect provided you stay logged in" was said, and first thing that happens is ps4 users get bumped off.

hi guys, i've been on all day (PS4) and it hasn't bumped me out yet. seems like it could be very sporadic.

Yeah I was on for two hours prior and then I got that 15 morning "Game License can't be verified. This account will be suspended in 15 minutes." and I was hoping it was a glitch. But not kicked me out on at the last boss. I've seen a similar message before when I'm not logged in and PSN network is under maintenance. So I know it's because the servers are down.

I don't mind too much but seeing such message can scare you when you know your account is current and paid for and registered properly. Just wish they would disclose "Some accounts may be disconnected if you are logged into the game."

Aye, the way i look at it is that the reason this happens is to make it better for us all, we should embrace it and maybe spend a little time on one of the offline games we are all guilty of neglecting when we get consumed by these MMO's

Ive been trying to get on now for an hour and i must of tried around 40 times ... with maybe 20 restarts and nothing... guessing im not gunna be able to log in until maintenance is finished... which the maintenance was meant to finish at 4.30pm but hasn't.

it was supposed to start at 16:30 and finish around 22:30 i believe

Square Enix should just stop checking for licenses then. It is not as though you can launch it if you do not have a subscription anyway. PSN's downtime's are horribly long and inconvenient as it is.

oh no SQUARE ENIX gave incorrect information about SONY'S maintenance :P

I don't know much about the PS4 but I think this is on Sony's side tbh, never get kicked out on PSN maintenance on PS3, and never have.
