Information on Patch 2.28 can be found on this post:The patch / update was pushed back due to scheduled yearly Japanese power outage shutdowns.
Can we at least get the patch notes a little early to browse through until the patch is released on the 5th? I am assuming that these would have been written for the previously scheduled patch time in may. It would be nice to have them 3-4 days prior to the official patch regularly so we could get pumped up for the patch

Nobody mentioning the ability to skip previously viewed cutscenes? The cutscenes are the main reason I skip the main scenario roulette.

Was just hoping they would release the full patch notes SE even back in FFXI were horrible for lack of disclosure. I do say they are getting better at it here but a few days early isn't hurting anyone and give us something to read.
that was the thing about patch 2.28 I got most excited about with being able to see the progress of FATEs on the icon being a close second
what I wonder most about is if "The ability to dismount via controller by pressing L1+R1 (LB+RB) at the same time" will be something you can turn off or not. I'm perfectly happy with being able to dismount with one of my analog sticks

No reason for it to be released days before. It's not doing any harm, you can wait. Might not break markets but it's just how they do things they release day of the patch so you got something to read while servers are down. Just get to wait.
Except for the part where SE was professional about it. They found a problem, informed us, and give us an alternate date. It happens in every business, and they handled it professionally. Just because you want to rage, doesn't make it a huge problem. You are just as bad as the people that are saying "Fantasia or Riot". First world problems.
I cannot wait to finally auto skip cut scenes. I loved them the first time but the hundredth time not so much.
