    I don't understand...

I've been running a lot of expert duty roulette lately, and I've encounter people that just doesn't care about their performance.

Just earlier, a black mage NEVER uses Fire III/Blizzard III and use tranpose and build up stacks with Fire I/Blizzard I.

And then a day ago, a dragoon using chaos thrust without their combo.

Then there's also white mages that just use Cure II and Cure III as single heal.

What surprise me about them all is that they're all atleast i90, and some even has a whooping 7 sold pieces.

I just don't understand, why don't people just atleast try? I don't really care for speed runs, but I don't find it enjoyable when dungeons take 40 - 50 minutes. And I highly doubt anyone can consider that fun.

And I am by no mean claiming myself to be some sort of "great player", but atleast I do my best to maximize my DPS when I do play.

That's because most probably fate spammed with no concept of what most of the skills/combos do. I also had a few runs where the Drg didnt use HV and spammed ROT only, and only used FT combo on single targets. And one smn who only single target DOT and no shadow flare etc. Also a BRD who would use Battle voice without a song and said it increases all the parties stats (as a FC member told him).

So its quite common to see these in roulette. The only thing you can do is coach them but it seems 75% don't listen or tell you they know what they are doing.

Careful, like myself I don't mind advice if I ask or if its given nicely, but if you're rude about giving advice people probably won't listen you you.

Also, I bet that 75% you said was out of your butt. A good portion of %'s people post are exaggerated or made up on the spot.

I run Expert roulette on daily basis and runs are really smooth and fast for me... Sometimes too silent too... The "Everyone knows what to do because they ran it 9999 times already" silence...

I keep seeing these threads pop about the expert roulette so maybe I'm just lucky lol...

I'd say maybe in 1/4 the ones I do between expert, high, and trials I get the ones who have no clue what they are doing and make me shake my head.

Well that's what happens when you have a game where you can level from 1-50 in a week and then once you get to 50 the game hands out good gear so that any braindead idiot can get it.

Exactly. These are the same people with quotes like "best gear in Coil needs to end".

But let's not get further into this matter, people might throw the word "elitist" to your head.

Because not everyone plays for the sole reason to be #1 and have an obsession over max number dps rotations.

This is why I prefer the old format for grouping which consisted on just getting the bodies to do the content and having a blast.

As for people complaining about bads, take into consideration that they are the ones funding your current habits as well.

Yeah, those other 3 people in your party? Who cares what THEY think. I mean, they're just NPCs, right?

Sarcasm aside, there's a hefty difference between "obsession with max number dps rotations" and "trying". When you go into a party and screw around, refuse to take advice and generally drag everyone else down you're essentially sacrificing everyone else's fun for your own. Which is fine, just do everyone a favor and stay out of parties.

Everyone has the right to be in a party bad or not.....Bad is an opinion in this game anyway. I can have 3 different people tell me 3 totally different things about my abilities in an hour! So play to have fun, otherwise whats the point?
