Okay so i managed to peel hate off the MT on titan EX during the heart phase and i could've sworn its not possible, was this changed?

Are you sure that Titan is actually attacking you? From experience, the target indicator may change to another player but Titan will still go to the MT.

As a healer the Heart targets me 9 times out of 10 but Titan still attacks the MT, nothing to worry about.

Yup, it was always like this. I have done it too. It is like the amount of enmity generated against the heart influences Titan's enmity too.
Titan has his own hate. The heart has it's own hate. You cannot target Titan during the heart phase.
If your current primary tank does not have a significant hate lead over your off-tank or healers entering the heart phase and the off-tank self heals, uses Flash, or the healers put up enough healing or over-healing they can overtake the primary tank's locked enmity.
Tada. Titan is now no longer smashing the primary tank's face in.
It was the same in Titan HM.
v @Iriadysa Not that I'm saying I've used a parser... *cough cough*
but someone somewhere with a parser might have you know... watch the heart phase. Enmity trackers don't move on Titan unless you use a heal or self heal during the heart phase.![]()

Not how this works. If your current primary tank does not have a significant hate lead over your off-tank or healers entering the heart phase and the off-tank self heals, uses Flash, or the healers put up enough healing or over-healing they can overtake the primary tank's locked enmity.

Once the heart phase starts, hate is locked to the target Titan has when he drops down on that phase.
However there's actually two specific points during the heart phase where, for some reason, it's possible to switch hate. Once that switches, it will be impossible to regain it until the next window. It has nothing to do with AoE hate or self heal or anything about people getting t and it's actually very easy to test out as a WAR off tanking this phase. If you spam your hate gaining chain and the main tank is not, there's a chance that you will take hate when the mentioned windows happen.
I'm pretty sure it's an unintended effect, but the windows exist. I believe the first one is right before he does that AoE smack that substitutes mountain buster in his rotation. Not sure about the second. From my experience there's only two of them.
This can happen. It's difficult to say exactly why/how it happens.
Your tank should be primarily on the heart, immediately after it becomes available for targetting. The window for aggro building seems to be around 10 seconds or so. If your tank secures aggro by then, Titan will be locked to him.
However, if you somehow manage to build more aggro than the tank, you're in trouble. It'll switch to you and it'll stay on you until the tank is able to surpass your aggro level.
I've only had this happen once, when I was tanking and it was due to the other tank getting a bunch of crits, while still having Oath on.
But I regained it back after landing a few Rage of Halon rotations.
Lesson is to be cautious with your threat, but also to have agile tanks.
This mechanic has always been there, BTW. It also applies to Titan HM.
If you manage to steal hate no worries, no getting crushed by mountain buster. You should be able to heal through it
The heart is an aggro meter directly on top of titan's aggro. If you have more aggro on the heart and titan's main body combined, then you will take aggro. Nothing more to it. If a tank lost aggro during the heart, it's because he didn't have enough aggro during the main boss phase. Alternatively worded: The heart is an extension of titan's aggro meter; so what ever you had before the heart phase began is the base value when it begins.
