    atma idea: please atma+ weapons give higher atma drops%

    i think that SE should give atma+ weapons a higher chance to receive atma stone than a zenith weapon like

    zenith weapon : 2% (assuming its 2%)

    atma : 8- 12% drop

    animus: 16-20% drop

    novus: 25- 30% drop

    the new weapon :higher % drop


    essentially, what i am saying, lets have the atma+ weapons give a higher chance to get atma stones. therefore keeping the grind the way it is (since SE doesnt want to change per live letter) and making the rng grind slightly easier on those who already have the atma+ weapons.

    I doubt we'll see much movement on the atma droprate. They've pretty much said 'deal with it' and ignored our pleas to make it less frustrating. Fine with me, I'll just ignore Atma for the time being until they rethink their strategy.

    This is my fix as well. I've done one and 3 books from completing it and it will be my first and last unless the atma stones drop rate is adjusted. I mean I put in 80+ hours on the stones and not sure how much on the books up to this point. I feel that with all the grinding you need to do after getting the stones they should not have such a low drop rate.

    Lemuria, if you'd read the OP a little closer, you would have realized that this wasn't another "omg make atmas drop moar cos I want it NAO" thread. He's saying that he would like to see an increased drop % for those who have already gone through one grind.

    Now that that's cleared up, I wouldn't really have much of an issue with that. I think those %s are a bit too high, but it wouldn't be a bad idea imo.

    EDIT: I feel like I should add that this opinion is coming from someone who has gone through the grind of both atma and animus with no complaints. While I understand that it is extremely frustrating for some who have not been graced by the RNG gods, I don't feel that any part of the zodiac quest needs to be changed and am looking forward to the future upgrades. This is an mmorpg and needs a long grind somewhere. Maybe that's the years of FFXI talking, but there you have it.

    Eh, i'm ok with the OP concept in theory, but let's not get too generous on percentages, lol.

    If it were me i'd cap it out at about 18% tops, And scale it down from there.

    What you are suggesting goes against everything SE has been doing so far.

    That is letting new players catch up easily. Instead of doing what you suggest, SE would definitely just increase the drop rate of atma stones for everyone as time goes on.

    not really, i mean it was SE that said that arent gonna change the drop rates for the atma stone in 2.28 or 2.3. my guess they might buff the atma drop rates in the anniversary patch.


    all my suggestion does help those who already went thru the grind and make the next atma grind less annoying.

    Please, don't get me wrong, mate.
    I do see what you're saying.

    I just feel that when they intend to give the drop rate a buff, they will do it across the board; and, it will be a single heavy increase, or incrementally from one major patch to another.

    If they aren't changing the droprates for anyone, it's even more unlikely that they would for a specific group. It goes against SE's philosophy of allowing newer players to catch up. What took weeks or even months to complete like coil can now easily be completed by a fresh 50 in a couple of days. This game is operating on the model of throwaway content. As endgame gets further away from the point of a fresh 50, the things required to be done to reach the current endgame will be made easier. For those who finish content early, that in itself is the reward. There has been no indication that this trend will change from what SE has been doing so far.
