Is anybody else put off my Expert Roulettes...

I actually have had good experiences with Expert Roulette on the whole. Met quite a few cool people (damn you for not having cross-server social functionality!) and have never had a catastrophic run. Granted I normally queue as DPS (and usually BLM) so every run is guaranteed to be fast.

Honestly, I can't say I've had many bad experiences in Expert DR's. Usually no one says anything, even if there is a mistake or 2. If I happen to get Brayflox, I always ask if we're doing big pulls or not, just as a courtesy. Granted, I queue as a tank so I have more control over that, but I only do it if people agree, particularly the healer. If I get Ruins of Amdapor, I ask if the healer is comfortable handling the doors. Simple, minimal communication is all you really need.

For the record, it was said that in the next patch (I think 2.28, but might have been 2.3), that you will be able to queue up with partners for roulettes.

Never had one bad experience. Then again I'm the tank and I always examine the party before even suggesting large pulls. Even then I'll ask the party what they'd like to see.
