    I think i've used PoM twice… it really isn't worth it. I don't even understand when you'd need to use it? Healed all the way up to Turn7 and its not even on my crossbars anymore/

    I know right. But, it's good to have spell. Like, Brayflox HM (speed runs) for example: imagine 2nd big pull after 1st boss death.
    Where you have to rescue goblins. I usually dps there, and activate divine seal in order to maximize HoT. After that, I use PoM and spam holy.. It's really quick. It does help in critical situation, but it depends. You can do any dungeon or raids even without it, but why not? Twice faster casting speed it saved me a lot... Time and members lol

    I find PoM doesn't mesh well with the nature of WHM healing in general. WHM are taught early to be efficient with their time, mana, and threat, and PoM just sort of ignores all this.

    Plus the animation delay negates a huge portion of the benefit unless you're weaving it between casts.

    It's a reasonable, if weak, boost to DPS scenarios.

    I find myself using this spell a lot along with Divine Seal especially when I know the tank is going to tank a lot of damage. I would like a shorter cool down and a slight buff to the amount of cast speed.

    It used to be a pretty nice mp regenerative ability back in 1.0. But you're right, it has too long of a cool down for a spell that doesn't last long nor help too much.

    I wonder if it was supposed to be an mp regen, but they took that out because we have shroud?

    Yeah that's possible. We had shroud and presence of mind that both gave us mp a little differently. I remember reading a few years ago that they were working towards combining and eliminating some spells because it overwhelmed players. The protect we have now was combined with shell years ago during all of that. shroud of saints is a lot more potent than it used to be in 1.0, probably double or more. I'm thinking they combined their potency, giving us the Shroud we have now. But someone decided to keep presence of mind around and make it a pretty weak spell. You could be right and it was a decision taken close to 2.0's release. Only thing we have to do now is get the real scoop from a developer to know for sure.

    why would you PoM with holy? holys stun effects are perfectly timed for Holy>wait1second>Holy>Holy, changing casting speeds just changes how long you wait between casts?

    to be useful it just needs to be 20 seconds instead of 10, then it might be worth the 1second animation delay

    If you're going for raw DPS and not worried about getting the full benefit of the stun. The 2nd big pull with gliders in Brayflox HM is an example of when you'd want to use PoM with Holy. It allows the WHM to become a BLM for that 10 second duration.
