Greetings, I come seeking players who are looking for an in depth, meaningful, and consistently enjoyable Guild experience. I know many players who are turned off by the potential pitfalls of being in a Guild not properly run. I myself have been a RPG gamer for quite some time and have been playing MMO’s since Ultima Online. I, have been in guilds, co founded Guilds, etc etc. much like any veteran gamer has.

I am well aware of what it takes to create a Guild that not only is relevant, but gives each member a sense of belonging. I am not creating a Guild for a sense of ego; I am creating a Guild to ensure that I and like minded people can get the most out of their time in Eorzea. I’m not here to give you a simple, empty, guild tag on your name. I am to provide quality gaming with quality people in whichever manner is most satisfying to your style. You like PvP? Do you want to be a factor in campaigning for the conquest of the Wolves Den? We can accommodate you. Is PvE more of your thing? Constant exploration and the never-ending search of loot? We will be doing that. Maybe you’re more interested in the potential social aspects of mercantile specialization? Want to be a master crafter in various trades? That’s fine with us.The only way to excel at any of this in a world as expansive, and in depth as Final Fantasy XIV is communication, dedication, and cooperation.

I can’t stress enough how not only will our main goal be to succeed at multiple facets of gameplay, but we are going to enjoy doing it together. The most important part of any MMO in my opinion is socialization. Anyone can spend the time it takes to get strong equipment, join a reputable guild, and get to the end game. Purpose beyond this is only found by playing with people you actually ENJOY being around. I encourage everyone to be sociable and be themselves. You don’t have to be an outgoing , all I ask is that while you’re playing, don’t hesitate to get into contact with other guild members and ask for/offer assistance.

This in turn keeps everyone successful at their own personal goals. Success has numerous definitions but to keep it simple I will say this. Two types of people get the most out of countless hours spent in any MMO. People who know what they’re doing, and people who are willing to learn. I will never fault anyone for asking questions, or asking for assistance. That is the very purpose of being the member of a guild. To have a sense of camaraderie that is built by everyone pitching in, learning, and then teaching those behind you.

There are plenty of more details that are in the works, but we will also be providing a ranking system within the guild. Counter measures to ensure you that there is more than one voice in this guild will be put in place. An establishment of a Round Table/Council will be made to keep a finger on the constant pulse of overall Guild morale, interests, complaints, and general day to day operations. This will be only one activity that will be put in place to maintain the purpose of running a balanced Guild that can offer the most to ALL of its members, regardless of title or tenure.

I personally plan on spending a vast majority of my time ensuring not only the success of this guild, but the satisfaction of anyone willing to take up arms with us. There is only one thing I ask. Loyalty. I have made my intentions and goals pretty clear and the only way to enjoy and develop a meaningful camaraderie where everyone is willing to contribute, is loyalty. Join whichever or how ever many Guilds you like, but if you join The Riddle Of Steel, all I ask for is communication or participation. This is to make sure that as the guild grows in membership and reputation, that people aren’t slipping through the cracks to piggyback for resources and or assistance without contributing back. If you intended on making a guild with a small group of friends, platoons can be formed and Titles issued within these subgroups. Again, all I ask for is communication and cooperation, and that your loyalty lies with us.
